It has been brought to my attention, that the first JC block $1 1935A with intermediate plate 470 has been discovered.

The high JC and early KC notes were printed in late June and into July of 1943. Star A notes with 470 are possible as well.

Any 470 stars would be between about *80000000A and *82000000A.

No, just the upper end of the JB block, and the first quarter or so of the KB block.

Another one to look out for is the 1935A mule BP 2.

These are found on QA, RA, SA, and TA blocks, and are also possible on star A from about *19000001A to *23000000A

I read about this in BNR, ESSF! Fascinating stuff. I’ve just begun (like today!) looking for LFP $10 1934A SC.  Are there serial number ranges I should be on the lookout for?

Edit: removed reference to LFBP - I don’t think those exist for the $10 1934A SC

LFP 86 and 87 exist on 1934A $10 SC's.

LFP 87 have serials in the A77xxxxxxA to A78xxxxxxA rangte and come in both mule and non mule format. Mule notes will have micro backs: 404, 553, or 578.

Yellow seals don't exist on LFP 87 notes, because LFP was used only in 1940. This pre dated America being in WWII.

LFP 86 come is: yellow seal, blue seal, mule blue seal (BP's 404, 553, 578). The mules are from 1940 and 1941. This was the end of micro back plates.

Wow, great looking exotic mule KeyGuy! I just read about this bp in Huntoon and Yakes column in SPMC, and the 3-year hiatus - so cool!!
Did you just pick this up? She’s a real beaut. Definitely something I’ll be on the lookout for.
Could you imagine finding one of those fp 2 without Treasury official titles printed? Really wonder if any made it out of BEP…what a great story…and note, KeyGuy. Congrats!

Very nice note Key Guy.

Star notes are unreported, but possible around *19000001A to *23000000A (or a bit higher).

The BP 2 without Treasury tiles are not possible, as all sheets were destroyed.

What is possible and would be another great find is a 1935 PLAIN QA or RA or star A.

I bought the note on Ebay a while ago thinking I needed it, but I already had one. In fact I thought about canceling the purchase right away but didn't.  When the note arrived is when I  noticed it was a back plate #2. Of course I didn't know the story behind it until recently.

Wow good find.  I hear there might be a mention about this note in a future Paper Money magazine.  👏👏👏
