1934 LGS /DGS transition Empty 1934 LGS /DGS transition

Wed Jul 27, 2022 6:11 pm
There seems to be some debate as to whether the seal color change was in November of 1937 or December of 1937.

I post the end of the LGS era as October 1937, November 1937 as transitional, and December 1937 as early vivid BGS.

I do not own this note, but saw it on eBay.

1934 LGS /DGS transition Lgs_tr10

This note has hardly any yellow green in it, and is closer to the note below, which I own.

1934 LGS /DGS transition 1934_g16

This note is an early vivid BGS, and is similar to the LGS above.

1934 LGS /DGS transition 1934_e12

This note is unquestionably a LGS.

What are other's opinions on this ?

It now looks like the seal color change was in October of 1937.

I need to see some of the $20 stars from October 5, 1937 to nail the date closer.
