How was 2022 for our members collecting wise ? Empty How was 2022 for our members collecting wise ?

Hard to believe that the year is almost over (THANK GOD !!)

Our forum will be a year old in less than two months !!  Let's have a banner 2023 !!!!!

In terms of collecting, my year was VERY mixed.

Coin wise, I got NO WHERE !!

Note wise: Only eight notes, which in terms of numbers, is pathetic ! However, the eight notes that I secured, were almost all monsters.

$1 1935B star, GEM65 with second lowest serial.
$1 1935C star, GEM 65, lower number.

$5 1934D A star in EF40 (small margin tear). These are very tough.

$10:
1934 C star LGS PMG63Q, but I can see it being reviewed for a 64Q.
1934 B star mule F/VF. FOUR KNOWN !!
1934 C star mule PMG63Q THREE KNOWN AND TOP POP !!
1934D J star in AU55Q. Low serial that contained 1934C narrow stars.
1934D K star in VG/F. About three or four known, top pop is a VF20 !!

Let's hear other's results.

I didn't get anything too epic.  I guess my favorite was the $10 1934A SC star in 65PPQ.  A real bargain that went unnoticed.

$5 1928 plain LT DA block 40PPQ for only $65.

Also I found some really good high and low serials on $2 1928 red seals. Various series included the highest discoveries on a 1928D CA mule and DA block non mule and the highest known 1928E series note.

I just started getting into note collecting this year.

I haven't bought anything so far, but am learning.

This forum is teaching me a lot.

I did pretty well this year.

I bought over 50 notes. Mostly $1 silver certificates for my PMG registry set, some new and some upgrades.

Here is one I bought at FUN in January. How was 2022 for our members collecting wise ? 127a10
