Recent Purchases
Recent Purchases
I just bought this note today, and have had my eyes on it for over two years.
It is top pop by far, and there are only a handful known.
I now have 50 percent of the 1934 mule stars, just need: A, B, D, E, F, and an L in CCU or better.
The top pop 1934 $10 DGS A star resides at a local coin shop, and I will be grabbing that one as well.

Printed in 1941, or early 1942.

That’s a great find robjon - that’s a large run of stars to find a serial that high, and an almost binary repeater.
I presume BEP starts every star issue with 00000001 and sequentially increase until they end the run. Does anyone know how that process works?

Re: Recent Purchases
WWII ended officially in September of 1945, so the 1935B's printed at that time would roughly be 2,000,000 or possibly fewer notes.

Since Series 1981 this has been the case. Some series in the 1950 to 1977A era, kept continuing numbers, until there was a completely new series. Prior to that, only 1928, 1934, and 1935 started at 00000001, but all following series, continued from the last used serial number.
FYI Series 1977A was the only time a serial number restarted at 00000001A. This happened when the end of the BL block (B99840000L) was reached in $1 1977A. Numbers did not go beyond L, so they restarted at B00000001A.

1950 serials: K01032001* to K01104000*.
It so far, looks like these are all 1934D, so if that is true, 72,000 were printed.
None were printed in 1949 or 1951 in 1934D format. First delivery: 02/09/1950. Last: 01/26/1951, again, with no star notes for 1951.
