Your notes are no longer rare. Empty Your notes are no longer rare.

A recent hoard of $10 1934 LGS notes recently surfaced.

This is the reason that I decided to switch over to star notes only. I don't have to go to bed worrying if a pack, half pack, or whatever else size pack, has surfaced and drove the price of whatever note is in question, through the floor !

I was talking with the founder of 1928notes.com. and our opinions slightly differ.

He mentioned that the $2 1928B star note could see enough notes surface, to drive the price way down. I am of the opinion that the population could double or tripple, but that this note will always be mega rare.

Priced on $5 1928C and 1928D are coming down, but not enough. These notes are not mega rare. Much the same could be said for the $101933 SC (become a member for access to the census pages). I have over 125 recorded 1933 $10 SC's, and counting. There could be as many as 300 of the $10 1933 SC.

Back in the day, star notes were hand inserted to replace defective notes. To get a huge run of star notes you would need A: many many packs of notes of whatever variety is in question, to surface, or B: a few packs to surface, but with enough star notes in the packs, to make a huge difference in rarity.

I do feel that at some point in many of our lifetime's, all of the 1928 to 1934D packs that are unknown, will surface. There is an upper limit to these.

$5 1953C LT star. 30 years ago you couldn't find any. Now they're a dime a dozen. So many popped up from 2005 to 2015 in Unc.

Always good to do your research when buying and when selling.

$2 1928C LT stars in Fine/VF condition should be nowhere near what sellers are asking.  It's so ridiculous I can't help but laugh when I see the stupid prices they put on those.
